Reports to: Technical Sales Manager - JordProxa
Job Description:
You will be a member of a team which prepares proposals that present a compelling and logical case to purchase crystallisers from JordProxa. The proposals will contain sufficient technical information to impress our customers and assist their evaluation process. The accuracy of the pricing offered will be supported by an appropriately rigorous cost estimate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Review client specifications and bid requirements to identify areas of technical and commercial concern that should be addressed in our estimate and proposal.
•Prepare estimates based using agreed templates for firm, budget and feasibility proposals.
•Ensure that the estimates for tenders reflect current units cost for materials and fabrication and are based on sufficient vendor quotes to obtain an accurate overall cost which may be reviewed and critiqued by a tender review panel.
•Assist the Technical Sales Manager and General manager in the preparation of tender bids and firm proposals for major projects
•Prepare preliminary and budgetary proposals
•Use and maintain the quote management systems
•Participate in the process of handing over the project to the Operations team once a Job is won
•Liaise with the Operations team for good communication and feedback. Whilst you are not responsible for the final gross margin of projects, you should take an interest in their successful completion
Skills and Experience:
•Degree in Process / Chemical Engineering
•At least five years of professional experience in chemical / process industry
•At least two years of experience in the detailed estimating and layout of turnkey or modular plant.
•Previous experience in the design of integrated process systems
•Previous experience with process equipment and piping layout to help 3D modeller with the overall plant layout
•Experience with Autocad 2D and 3D design packages, in order to develop quickly overall plant layout and PFD and P&ID drawings would be a plus.
•Previous experience with the design and estimation of crystallisation equipment / plant will be a plus.
•An ability to write clear and concise technical proposals
•A proactive and positive attitude focused on the development of the Company’s business and the support of fellow staff throughout pre-award and execution, working cooperatively and constructively within a culturally diverse team environment.
•Proficiency in Microsoft office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word
