Job Description
Kinetic Design + Development is looking for a Property Maintenance Technician to join the Krew. If you’re a maintenance professional who thrives in both the creative and technical sides of the process, this role is for you.
In this role, you will help keep Kinetic’s residential and commercial properties running smoothly, safely, and looking their best. From troubleshooting building systems to preparing spaces for new tenants, you will play a hands-on role in creating well-maintained environments where people can live and work comfortably. You will work closely with our property management team while also taking ownership of day-to-day maintenance tasks across multiple properties.
If you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and seeing the direct impact of your work on the spaces people use every day, you will feel right at home with the Krew.
Who You Are
You are someone who takes pride in doing things right the first time. You notice the small details others miss and take ownership of the spaces and systems you maintain. When something breaks, you are already thinking through the fix.
You work well independently but also communicate clearly with teammates, tenants, and vendors. You stay organized, juggle multiple tasks with ease, and adapt quickly when priorities shift. Above all, you approach every project with professionalism, integrity, and a solutions-focused mindset.
What You’ll Do
Perform routine maintenance across properties including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify and resolve issues early
Respond to tenant maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
Troubleshoot and repair common issues such as leaks, electrical problems, and appliance malfunctions
Perform lawn and grounds maintenance including mowing, weed eating, leaf removal, and snow removal
Prepare vacant units for new tenants including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs
Assemble and install furniture, fixtures, and other equipment as needed
Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs or large-scale maintenance work
Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and time worked
Provide weekly updates to the Property Manager on completed work, pending tasks, and any property concerns
Respond to emergency maintenance requests when needed, including occasional after-hours support
Tools You’ll Use
Basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
Standard maintenance and repair tools
Lawn and grounds maintenance equipment
Property maintenance tracking and reporting tools
What You’ll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification is a plus)
Proven experience in property maintenance, facilities maintenance, or building repairs
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks across different properties
Excellent communication and customer service skills when working with tenants
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and walking for extended periods
