Property Maintenance Crew Lead

River Valley Lawnscape of Red Wing is hiring a Property Maintenance Crew Lead to join our growing Lawnscape team. This is a full-time, seasonal position with strong potential to turn into a full-time, year-round role for the right person. We’re looking for an experienced professional who takes pride in their work, can lead by example, and wants consistent, year-round hours with a company that’s been trusted in the Red Wing and Lake City area for over 30 years.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, running quality equipment, and leading a small crew while still being hands-on in the field.

About the Role

As a Crew Lead, you’ll be responsible for maintaining commercial and residential properties at a high standard while working directly with customers and supporting your team. You’ll lead daily operations in a two-person crew, manage job flow, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Work stays steady year-round with lawn care during the growing season and snow removal in the winter. Target schedule is 40 hours per week year-round, with flexibility as long as the work gets done.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead lawn care and property maintenance crews on residential and commercial sites

Weekly mowing, trimming, edging, and shrub pruning

Seasonal services including spring prep and fall cleanups

Operate commercial zero-turn mowers and power equipment

Perform snow removal, plowing, and ice control during winter

Load, unload, and maintain tools and equipment

Drive company trucks and trailers to and from job sites

Interact professionally with customers and represent River Valley on-site

Support light mechanical upkeep and equipment care

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 1 year of professional lawn care experience (required)

Proven ability to operate commercial mowing and snow removal equipment

Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Self-motivated, organized, and dependable

Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Full range of motion to safely operate equipment

Ability to work in heat, cold, rain, snow, and varying terrain

Schedule

Monday–Friday

Standard hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Additional hours as needed based on workload and weather

Compensation

$22.00 – $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and season
