We are seeking a dedicated and caring Property Cleaner to join our team. More than maintaining spotless spaces, you’ll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that residents are proud to call home. As a frontline member of our property team, you are a CLV brand ambassador. You are friendly, reliable, and committed to helping our communities feel beautiful, safe, and cared for. Your attention to detail and pride in your work will directly contribute to the comfort and satisfaction of our residents every day.  In addition to the duties typically performed by a cleaner, responsibilities include:

Resident Experience & Community Pride

Greet residents and visitors in a friendly and respectful manner, offering assistance when needed.

Take pride in the property’s appearance, ensuring every space reflects the quality and care associated with the CLV brand.

Help foster a sense of community through kindness, reliability, and teamwork.

Communicate proactively with the Operations team about any issues that could impact resident comfort, safety, or satisfaction.

Cleaning and Sanitizing

Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing surfaces.

Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and common areas to ensure high hygiene standards.

Empty garbage and recycling receptacles and ensure waste is disposed of safely and properly.

Surface and Floor Care

Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces for a spotless finish.

Wipe down and polish fixtures, furniture, and high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, switches, and railings.

Vacuum carpets and rugs; sweep, mop, and polish hard floors to maintain a clean, welcoming look.

Perform occasional deep cleaning, including scrubbing baseboards, cleaning appliances, and refinishing floors.

Inventory & Safety

Replenish supplies and maintain inventory of cleaning materials and equipment.

Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to the Operations team.

Follow all safety protocols and use protective equipment appropriately.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are key.

Strong sense of pride in maintaining beautiful, safe, and inviting spaces.

Friendly, respectful, and community-minded with strong interpersonal skills.

Reliable and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.

Physically able to lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks.

Basic English communication skills; bilingualism is an asset.

Location:  Downtown Ottawa, Golden Triangle area
