Job Opening: Property Acquisitions / Title professional
Location: South Africa (Remote – US Hours)
Type: Full-Time, Work from Home
Hours: Monday to Friday: 9am- 5pm (US Hours)
Salary: Paid in South African Rands (ZAR)
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate the property acquisitions process from contract to closing, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all steps.
• Conduct thorough title searches, examine title commitments, and resolve any title issues or discrepancies.
• Prepare and review closing documents, including title affidavits, endorsements, and settlement statements.
• Coordinate with title companies, lenders, attorneys, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction closings.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices throughout the acquisitions process.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of all acquisition transactions and related documentation.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external parties to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Support due diligence efforts and conduct risk assessments related to property titles and acquisitions.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the efficiency of acquisitions and title work.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in property acquisitions, title examination, or real estate closing processes.
• Strong knowledge of real estate title documentation, title commitment review, and closing procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple acquisition transactions simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Proficiency in relevant software and platforms used in property acquisitions and title management.
• Ability to work independently and during U.S. business hours.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive real estate information.
• Candidates must possess a thorough understanding of real estate transactions, particularly concerning contractual matters. This may include expertise in real estate law or relevant experience in roles such as a Conveyancing Secretary or Conveyancing Paralegal. Prior experience is essential.
