Ownership and key responsibilities:
•Manage Customer Quality Interface (Internal/external customers) for assigned Customers and/or Projects. Ensure that performance targets are achieved in the project
•Represent the customer in the Project and represent Wabtec in front of the customer quality organization
•Lead Project Quality activities in the project according to APQP Process. Represent the project in the Quality network and Quality network inside the project
•Set Project Quality Targets aligned with Product Line and Customer requirements. Manage and share associated KPIs with all Project Core Team members and Product Line Quality Management
•Lead and Manage the Customer issues in the project, according to Wabtec rules (5W2H, QRQC, 8D or PDCA_FTA, LLC) with manufacturing sites involved
•Has the authority to STOP project phase, production and any shipments in case of major non-conformities
Main Authorities and Missions:
Customer Quality Interface :
•Set Project Quality Targets together with the Project Manager and Project Core Team members.
•Ensure Interface with Customer and involved Siscos/Manufacturing sites for all quality related matters (Project deliverables, NCR, etc.)
•Lead and prepare Customer Quality Visits, Audits and meetings (Internal & Customer FAI, project audits, etc. ) with involved Site Quality Managers
•When applicable submit and obtain Customer approval for any deviation/concession; Follow-up until deviation/concession closure
•Manage Customer Issues and Communicate regularly about the progress status
Member of Project Core Team :
•Monitor and communicate on regular basis about the Quality Performance of the project (KPIs)
•Ensure the information/training of Quality process and tools inside the project team
•Build the Project Quality Plan to ensure compliance with customer and contract requirements
•APQP : Perform all quality tasks as defined in APQP model and support other functions. Ensure Project Quality deliverables are communicated on time to customer
•APQP : Support the PM on process and tool application (Gate review preparation) / Has the authority to stop the execution of any process/product within the Project
Ensure that Critical Characteristic Management Process is respected and applied : 
•Ensure that Design Standards are respected, and Safety/Critical characteristics are managed according to the standard
•Ensure, when applicable, that Safety/critical characteristics are transferred to Suppliers Quality Engineer and Manufacturing Quality Team
Ensure that validation of the Product is complete and aligned with Product Development process : 
•Define, follow and update the Control Plan for products (pre-serial and serial) with Method team and Manufacturing competencies
•Ensure that any change request (ECR/PCR) is managed according to the internal process and update quality related documents accordingly
•Lead internal-FAI and Customer-FAI
QRQC & NCR Management :
•Lead Root cause analysis according to 8D / PDCA-FTA methodology with the necessary experts involved
•Manage the customer issues from the 1st customer alert until the full closing of the issue and ensure the formalization/integration/sharing of the associated REX (LLC) within the project (Design/Process review) and within the Product Line (for Safety cases & Hot issues)
•Ensure the regular communication to customer and management level during the overall claim resolution period
