Project Officer (Laboratory Mobilisation & Delivery)

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Officer – Laboratory Mobilisation & Delivery to support the successful setup, commissioning, and delivery of laboratory projects across our operations.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in laboratory environments and project coordination, who thrives in fast-paced, site-based project settings and enjoys seeing projects through from mobilisation to operational readiness.

Responsibilities include however, not limited to:

• Support Project Managers with end-to-end project delivery activities including scheduling, milestones, procurement coordination, mobilisation planning, and documentation
• Maintain structured project documentation, registers, risk logs, and reporting frameworks
• Monitor project KPIs and contribute to reporting across schedule, cost, quality, and readiness objectives
• Attend site during peak project activity to coordinate suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
• Act as the on-site focal point for day-to-day project execution, issue resolution, and progress tracking
• Coordinate laboratory installation, commissioning, and readiness activities
• Ensure effective communication between site teams, project management, suppliers, and leadership
• Coordinate commissioning activities including equipment installation, validation, and readiness checks
• Verify laboratories are commissioned in line with company procedures, safety standards, and quality systems
• Assist with handover documentation and readiness reviews
• Liaise with internal and external construction, supply, installation, and client stakeholder 

The successful applicant will have a:

• Diploma or Degree in Laboratory Science, Geochemistry, Metallurgy, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
• Experience in mining laboratory operations (preferred)
• Proven experience supporting projects, mobilisations, or laboratory start-ups
• Project management training or practical experience (advantageous)
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and accredited laboratory environments (beneficial)
• Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness and ability to travel to site as required
