We are a Slovenia-based team working partly remote, with a strong focus on accountability, trust, and doing things properly rather than quickly.

About the Role

As our Web Project Manager / Technical Account Manager, you will manage and coordinate web and e-commerce projects from initial discussions through delivery.

This is not a developer role. You are not expected to code, but you do need a solid understanding of how web development works, especially within WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify. Your main responsibility is to keep projects structured, aligned, and moving forward while acting as the main link between clients, developers, and the marketing team.

You will work closely with the CEO and Web Development Support during onboarding and gradually take ownership of more complex projects and client relationships.

Mission Statement

The primary mission of this role is to ensure web and e-commerce projects are delivered clearly, efficiently, and in line with technical and business requirements, while maintaining strong client relationships and internal coordination.

General Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating web and e-commerce projects from initial onboarding through delivery to ensure structured execution and clear outcomes
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients throughout web projects, ensuring expectations, scope, and priorities are clearly defined and managed
• Leading discovery and onboarding phases to gather technical, marketing, and business requirements before project execution
• Overseeing projects built on WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify, with a clear understanding of how these platforms function and differ
• Coordinating third-party and API integrations such as payment providers, logistics systems, analytics tools, and marketing platforms
• Collaborating closely with web developers to define feasible solutions, timelines, and technical approaches
• Working with the marketing team to ensure websites and web shops support performance marketing, tracking, and future scalability
• Guiding clients through technical and strategic decisions at a high level, translating complexity into clear recommendations
• Preventing scope creep and project inefficiencies by identifying risks early and managing changes proactively
• Monitoring project progress and ensuring deliverables meet agreed requirements, timelines, and quality standards
• Translating technical discussions and project status into clear, actionable updates for clients
• Maintaining structured documentation for projects, including onboarding materials, access, checklists, decisions, and handovers
• Supporting the continuous improvement of internal web project processes and workflows

Overall, this role exists to ensure Digitalist’s web projects remain structured, efficient, and commercially sound.

Position Specifications

• Full-time commitment with 40 hours per week
• Slovenia-based, with remote work possible after onboarding
• Availability during agreed-upon working hours
• 25 days of paid annual leave plus public holidays
• 30-day notice period

• Confidence in leading client communication, managing expectations, and preventing scope creep throughout a project lifecycle
• Able to collaborate closely with web developers and marketing teams to ensure solutions are technically feasible and commercially sound
• Able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously without losing structure or attention to detail
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality work
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Experience working autonomously and managing your own time effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly

• Must be available and responsive during standard office hours in Slovenia
• Must be able to consistently work full-time
