Project Manager – Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS)
Location: Richmond, VA (On-site only)
Employment Type: Contract
The Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of the Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS)—a high-risk, high-visibility project critical to election management across the Commonwealth.
This position is 100% on-site at ELECT offices in Richmond, VA. Remote or hybrid work is not available. All interviews will be conducted in person.
About the Role
The SVRS Project Manager will oversee a complex, high-stakes initiative requiring strict adherence to Commonwealth standards and exceptional organizational skills. The role involves daily collaboration with stakeholders, project team members, and ELECT staff in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage SVRS project performance metrics and maintain data in the Commonwealth Technology Portfolio (CTP).
• Ensure compliance with the Commonwealth Project Management Standard.
• Coordinate project calendars and facilitate daily meetings (virtual and in-person).
• Provide regular status briefings to internal and external audiences, including the Interagency Oversight Committee.
• Work closely with ELECT SVRS project team members to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
• Active PMP Certification (must upload a copy in Vector for consideration).
• Documented risk management experience.
• Successful completion of:
• A Category 1 or 2 Commonwealth of Virginia project of $5M+ OR
• A non-COV project valued at $10M+ as PM of record.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with the Commonwealth Technology Portfolio (CTP) preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
