Position Overview
Ambipar Response Canada Inc. is seeking a Project Manager - Spill Response to support our emergency response team in the Edmonton, Grande Prairie or Fort St. John region.
This role is primarily office-based (70–80%) with occasional travel to field sites to support emergency response activities. Due to the nature of the work, flexibility is required, including the ability to respond to incidents on short notice and work extended hours when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between General Managers, technical experts, clients, and field teams
Lead and support Emergency Responders and Environmental Consultants
Oversee and direct field operations and technical procedures
Develop project scopes, assign tasks, and manage project teams
Communicate project updates clearly with clients and regulatory bodies
Manage project budgets, timelines, and reporting
Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in fieldwork
Oversee invoicing, revenue tracking, and project documentation
Participate in a weekly on-call rotation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Land Reclamation, Biological Sciences, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental site remediation and reclamation
Experience working in safety-sensitive environments
Strong project management and leadership experience
Knowledge of emergency response practices, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder communication
Professional designation (or in progress) such as AIA, APEGA, or ASPB is an asset
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing budgets and forecasting project needs
