headquartered in Florida with active operations throughout California. We specialize in
residential solar + storage projects financed through leading partners such as GoodLeap,
LightReach, Enfin, and others. We manage the entire customer lifecycle—from design to
PTO—ensuring every system we install is built to the highest quality and performance
standards.
Role Overview
The Project Manager (Solar Operations) is responsible for managing the lifecycle of residential
solar projects from Notice to Proceed (NTP) through Permission to Operate (PTO) and
system activation.
This position requires strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and a clear
understanding of solar operations workflows, ensuring each project moves efficiently through
design, permitting, installation, and utility interconnection.
The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, and capable of coordinating multiple
stakeholders — homeowners, installers, design teams, and utility/financing partners — to
ensure every Volt project reaches completion smoothly and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Verification (Post-Sale)
● Review utility bills and confirm annual consumption estimates imputed into Aurora -
confirm they match
● Cross-check Aurora design input and ensure offset meets utility thresholds:
○ LADWP: 100% required
○ SCE / PG&E / SDG&E: below 150%
● Verify equipment (panels, inverters, batteries) match approved “Adder Sheet” for
selected financing option.
● Confirm finance NTP has been granted and Volt HIA has been signed.
● Use HubSpot to log verification details and escalate issues such as mismatched
consumption or unapproved offset.
● Input annual grid-use data and mark project as Verified when complete.
2. Site Survey Coordination
● Conduct VoltHome Welcome Call with the customer (per provided script).
● Collect preferred survey dates within 72 hours of sale.
● Relay scheduling information to Operations Manager for technician assignment.
● Record all customer comments and preferences in HubSpot, and log/record the call for
documentation.
3. Site Survey Day Oversight
● Confirm completion of Site Survey with the homeowner.
● Ensure photos are uploaded to CompanyCam.
● Review survey photos to identify potential electrical upgrades, unpermitted structures, or
roof conditions.
● Update HubSpot with the CompanyCam link and any relevant notes.
4. Planset Design Coordination
● Relay system details, layout, and SKU specifications (including racking) to the Design
Team.
● Provide all survey photos and notes.
● Record task completion in HubSpot.
5. Design Review (≤48 hrs Turnaround)
● Ensure design completion within 48 hours.
● Review planset with internal reviewers (Frank/Mateo) to confirm:
○ Layout accuracy
○ Complete Bill of Materials with SKU details
○ Identification of any electrical upgrade requirements
● Relay final planset to installer’s permitting team.
● Document progress and issues in HubSpot.
6. Permit Submittal (≤48 hrs Turnaround)
● Verify installer’s team has all required documents for submittal.
● Communicate with homeowner confirming permit submission.
● Upload supporting documents and record submission time/date in HubSpot.
7. Installation Scheduling
● Coordinate installation dates between Installer and Homeowner (target ≤ 1 business
week after permit approval).
● Record confirmed installation date in HubSpot.
8. Supply & Logistics Coordination
● Collaborate with Mateo and Felicitas to build final BOM.
● Submit purchase order and coordinate delivery with CED for the day prior to install.
● Notify customer of material delivery schedule.
● Record details in HubSpot (PO submitted, delivery confirmed).
9. Installation Supervision
● Verify installer arrival (7 AM PST) and material completeness.
● Communicate with CED if materials are missing or incorrect.
● Record confirmation and notes in HubSpot.
10. Commissioning // Install completion Oversight
● Ensure installer has appropriate logins for manufacturer commissioning software.
● Confirm commissioning completion, install photos uploaded (per install manual) and
cleanup.
● Log results and documentation in HubSpot.
11. Final Inspection
● Coordinate final inspection scheduling between installer permitting team and
homeowner.
● Record inspection details in HubSpot.
12. Commissioning Package Upload - Financing
● Coordinate with Frank and Mateo to upload all required install photos and documents to
the applicable financing portal (GoodLeap, LightReach, Enfin, etc.).
● Ensure all project completion documentation (photos, permit approvals, signed
inspection reports, etc.) is accurate and submitted promptly.
● Use HubSpot to:
○ Record date/time of upload.
○ Attach confirmation or screenshots of package submission.
13. PTO & System Activation
● Assist installer with PTO submission and collect any remaining homeowner
documentation.
● Once PTO has been granted, coordinate system turn-on and final walkthrough with
Frank.
● Mark project as Complete in HubSpot and notify all relevant internal teams.
Qualifications
● Experience: any experience in solar operations, project coordination, or construction
management will be highly valued.
● Tools: Familiarity with Aurora Solar, HubSpot (CRM), CompanyCam, and
Microsoft/Google Workspace is ideal.
● Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and task-tracking abilities.
● Language: Strong written and verbal English required.
● Availability: Must be available during U.S. Pacific Time hours (7AM to 4PM PST)..
● Mindset: Proactive, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple projects
simultaneously.
Performance Metrics (KPIs)
● Project verification turnaround (≤ 24 hrs)
● Design & permit turnaround compliance (≤ 48 hrs each)
● Installation scheduling within 1 week of permit approval
● On-time project completion (NTP → PTO within target timeline)
