Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We are seeking a Project Manager to support the successful delivery of the SDG 8 Hub. This role provides project management oversight across the Hub’s core workstreams - research, education, and engagement - working closely with leadership, theme leads, and an international network of partners.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining work plans, timelines, and reporting frameworks, driving delivery across multiple workstreams in a complex and evolving environment
• Building, managing, and influencing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including global partners, industry, and community organisations, to achieve shared outcomes
• Supporting governance processes, including coordinating inputs for the Steering Group and maintaining oversight of key actions and decisions
• Supporting the development and delivery of events, forums, and collaborative initiatives
• Leading communications and content development, translating complex ideas into clear and engaging outputs for a range of audiences
• Supporting research impact activities and providing operational oversight to ensure the effective running of the Hub

This is a part-time (22.5 hours per week), 2-year fixed-term opportunity.

The remuneration range for this role is $110,000 - $121,900 (pro rata for part time hours), depending on skills and experience.

You will bring strong project management experience and a collaborative approach, with the ability to navigate complex environments and build effective relationships.

We are looking for:

• Proven experience managing complex projects, ideally within a research, public sector, or large organisation environment
• Ability to bring structure to ambiguity, manage multiple priorities, and maintain momentum
• Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver outcomes without direct authority
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing clear, engaging content
• Experience supporting senior stakeholders or governance groups is advantageous
• A relevant tertiary qualification
