Steel Detailing Project Manager & PM Onboarding Specialist (Hybrid)

In addition to the duties and responsibilities of a Project Manager, the PM Onboarding Specialist would be responsible for:
Implement Project Training Program: Lead the onboarding and training for new Assistant Project Managers (APMs) and Project Managers (PMs), focusing on company standards, project workflows, software (e.g., Asana, Slack), and industry best practices.
Conduct Orientation and Shadowing: Lead new hires through the initial project process, providing them with a strong understanding of company values, project lifecycle, client expectations, and software tools. Facilitate shadowing opportunities with senior PMs to ensure hands-on learning.
Ongoing Mentorship and Coaching: Provide continuous guidance and feedback to APMs and PMs through regular check-ins, progress assessments, and skill development sessions. Offer expert advice on challenging project aspects and help develop their problem-solving skills.
Monitor and Evaluate Training Progress: Track the progress of new APMs and PMs through performance assessments, providing actionable feedback and identifying areas for further development. Regularly adjust training methods based on individual learning styles and team needs.
Document Training Materials: Update training manuals, resources, and e-learning modules that cover all facets of project management, from pre-construction planning to post-project reviews.
Additional Duties:
Continuous Professional Development: Stay current on industry trends, tools, and techniques. Encourage APMs and PMs to pursue professional development opportunities and certifications (e.g., PMP, Tekla, etc.) to advance their skills.
Maintain Compliance with Regulations: Ensure all project work is compliant with relevant regulations, including safety standards, environmental requirements, and quality guidelines.
