Job Description
Primary Function:
Project Manager is responsible for the management of assigned projects, including project work scope and technical development, estimating, resource and schedule with submittal to Project Controls group, material requirement for procurement data sheets, execution and construction oversight to project completion.
Responsibilities:
Technical Support
Streamline project activities to be fit-for-purpose for the project scale and scope to maximize efficiency and flexibility to the project
Installation engineering and technical plans & procedure writing for diving, pipeline, and construction projects
Managing third party support of project deliverables
Ensuring schedule and milestone updates properly reflect work performed and forecast remaining activities correctly
Review quotations utilizing supplier information, cost standards, technical information from quality, manufacturing, engineering, and design
Maintain daily production quantities for cost analysis
Responsible for technical specifications/drawings review and resolution
Oversight and coordination to ensure schedule and compliance with project specifications, scope of work, and subcontract terms and conditions
Manage projects that ensure sound engineering standards, code compliance, proper company and safety standards, and good engineering practices
Ensure field activities are well planned and executed
Collaborate with other MORRISON business units to ensure management of cross-function interfaces
Liaise with inland and/or offshore construction management to plan and oversee execution of planned projects
Review project specific drawings and procedures to ensure proper execution of projects
Develop technical project documents
Accountable for assigned project objectives, including, but not limited to, safety, cost, schedule, scope, quality, and the on-time delivery of assigned project and report progress, and variances, and contributes to efficiency increases with continuous learning and sharing
Ensuring that the project is delivered in accordance with the agreed project scope and all project change orders are handled through our Management of Change (MOC) process
Conduct meetings with client to provide project status updates
Administrative & Coordination
Compile and generate weekly reports, including, but not limited to, statistics, job cost, accounting, timelines, tables, graphs, and correspondence
Work with and assist Field Personnel as required to ensure exemplary project execution

Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and/or business-related fields, or equivalent, relevant experience
Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years experience in project management related field and/or Project Coordinator
If no commercial diving experience is available, then competent company commercial diving personnel will be assigned to assist with project procedures and appropriate industry standards and regulations
Pre-Requisites:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Project experience in the oil and gas industry
Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Projects
Ingenuity:
Self-motivated, possess interpersonal skills to maintain a good working and ethical relationship with vendors, customers, strategic industry partners, and the MORRISON Business Unit Managers
Ability to operate under pressure, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, and meet deadlines independently
Must possess the ability to speak to groups of people and demonstrate negotiating skills
Ability to effectively work with Microsoft Office applications and learn MORRISON specific software applications
Location:
Position will be located in Houma, LA or Houston, TX. Houma is the preferred location; however, candidates may reside in Houston. If located in Houston, some travel to Houma will be required.
