Providing direction to team of direct reports on technical and execution front

• Working with Architects, managers and senior managers to understand product requirements, design and create execution plan around those.

• Develop project plans, creating and tracking schedules to ensure on-time and quality deliverable

• People management to create & retain a high performing team

• Interfacing with other sub systems, system testing, PLM teams to get the required information and infrastructure to execute on plans

Knowledge / Skills

• Total 10-14 years of experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a team of sw developers in a formal management role

• Project Management & People Management Experience

• Good understanding product quality metrics and software development processes to achieve those

• Excellent organizational abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Embedded development experience for telecom core network side products

• Capable of a variety of challenges and developing system level knowledge

• Excellent problem solving skills – with organized and methodical approach

• Strong knowledge of the following:

· C / C++

· TCP/IP Networking

· Multi-threaded programming

· Unix / Linux

· Experience with following protocols: SIP, VXML, H.248, MGCP, SNMP

· Experience on Media Server, Media Gateway, VoIP/IMS network elements

· Embedded development issues (memory constraints, performance, debugging)
