The Daily Mail, the world’s leading English-speaking online news website with over 200 million unique monthly visitors, is seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic Tech & Product team in London. Supporting a cutting-edge in-house web platform, you will help manage multiple concurrent projects and BAU initiatives that drive continuous innovation across our commercial and editorial landscape. Reporting to and working closely with an experienced project manager, you will proactively engage with stakeholders, development and QA teams, building your project management skills within a fast-paced, high-profile environment. This is an outstanding opportunity for an adaptable and driven individual to further develop their expertise in web technologies and project delivery, as part of a team growing both commercially and technologically on a global scale.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional projects, ensuring milestones, timelines and objectives are met in alignment with business priorities.

• Act as the primary point of contact between technical, product, commercial and editorial teams, facilitating effective communication and timely decision-making.

• Develop comprehensive project plans and developer resource schedules, tracking progress and proactively resolving issues to minimise project risks and delays.

• Ensure all project deliverables meet the defined quality standards and objectives, championing best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

• Regularly report on project status, risks, and KPIs to Product & Delivery Director and senior stakeholders, providing clear, actionable insights and recommendations.

• Manage relationships with internal and external partners, overseeing key dependencies and ensuring seamless integration of third-party solutions.

• Follow robust project management methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2, etc.), continually identifying and driving process improvements.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement within the project team, ensuring alignment with The Mail’s values and strategic goals.

Person Specification

Desired Experience & Skills

• 3-5 years’ proven experience managing projects with a track record of managing multiple projects and partnerships simultaneously.

• Proven experience of working with staff at all levels and specifically, creative / commercial / third party organisations.

• The ability to understand difficult technical concepts and communicate them to non-technical audiences. Background in publishing and editorial process preferred.

• Knowledge & experience of web technologies and Project Management governance and processes.

• Comprehensive knowledge of project management tools and principles with an understanding of PRINCE2 / agile methodologies. Foundation certificates preferred.

• Excellent organisation and communication skills - both written and verbally.

• An outgoing and trustworthy individual, pro-Active and a positive can-do attitude.
