Job Description
Project Manager, London Climate Action Week (LCAW) Secretariat, London
London Climate Action Week (LCAW) harnesses the unique power of London to accelerate global and local climate action. Founded in 2019 by E3G in partnership with the Mayor of London, LCAW has become one of the largest independent climate festivals globally and a key moment in the international climate calendar. LCAW operates as an independent public-good platform, guided by the principles of impact, inclusivity, openness, and radical collaboration. It is now transitioning to a year-round organisation, anchored by its annual festival in June and supported by a dedicated Secretariat.
The Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to join the London Climate Action Week Secretariat at a pivotal moment in its growth. This is a high-trust, hands-on role supporting both the transition to a year-round organisation and the delivery of the annual festival.
As dedicated post in the Secretariat, you will work closely with the Head of Secretariat and under the direction of the Chief Programme Officer. You will play a central role in implementing the 2026 business plan and helping establish the systems, processes, and relationships needed for LCAW’s next phase of growth.
This role is suited to a confident, proactive self-starter who can operate with initiative, work directly with senior stakeholders and a vibrant, growing community of stakeholders and partners, and is motivated by the opportunity to help shape a growing organisation in a mission-driven context.
Key Responsibilities

Support the development and coordination of LCAW’s programmatic clusters
Lead overall project management of the annual week, including planning, milestones, tools, and coordination with E3G colleagues
Support development and delivery of the programme, including Secretariat-organised events (speaker engagement, invitations, logistics, on-site support)
Support data collection and impact tracking (surveys, attendance, VIP engagement)
Develop and implement a new event approvals process
Stakeholder & Community Management
Support the growth and development of the LCAW community
Organise stakeholder briefings and themed networking sessions
Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including hubs, flagship event organisers, and partners
Support LCAW governance structures, including LCAW Circle and Advisory Group meetings and global network of climate action weeks
Contribute to website updates, newsletters, and communications
Support fundraising and business development by monitoring enquiries and identifying opportunities
Secretariat Operations
Provide day-to-day operational support, including responding to enquiries
Prepare presentations, meeting briefings, partnership pitches, and proposals
Liaise with and manage external suppliers (website, communications, etc.)
Support the roll-out and use of a CRM system
Experience & Skills
Proven experience managing complex projects or programmes independently
Experience working directly with senior stakeholders and external partners
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills
Experience supporting or delivering events and programme content
High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and delivery focus
Proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude, and willingness to take on a broad range of responsibilities
Strong commitment to climate action and sustainability
Desirable: Experience with event management tools, CRM systems, and communications or web platforms; international exposure or cross-cultural experience
What we offer
1 year full-time or part-time position, with potential extension
Work-life balance, a 35-hour workweek with a hybrid work model and flexitime
Additional pension contribution equivalent to 7.5% of gross annual salary
25 vacation days + additional leave between Christmas and New Year
