The position work closely with human resources in addition to business, operations, and technology leaders across the company to drive critical transformations that delivers on the company's vision and support the expansion of global organization development initiatives and programs. Although the location of the position is in Newton, NJ, from time to time it may be required to undertake duties at other Thorlabs locations.
Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:
• Provide support, assistance, and act as a resource to Thorlabs’ Global Organization Development in identifying, planning, facilitating, and implementing new projects, initiatives, and recommended improvements to structures and processes.
• Provide management with appropriate timelines, metrics, customized materials, toolkits and reporting.
• Assist in the work direction of day-to-day development activities.
• Communicates project outcomes in a clear, effective, and timely manner to necessary stakeholders.
• Develop, manage, and assist with implementation of change management and communication plans.
• Work with business partners in assessing, tracking, and reporting the financial and people strategy benefits of project efforts.
• Perform tasks that generally have few established guidelines or processes to follow.
• Provide training and guidance to others. May serve as a liaison across other departments.
• Prepare reports, case study documentation and training manuals.
• Focus on root cause analysis, continuous improvement to eliminate short and long-term problems.
• Assist in the development of the process model/map and global organizational charts and leadership matrixes.
• Facilitate the setting of priorities, objectives, goals, measures, and metrics for projects, ensuring that these are monitored and controlled.
• Ensure that a project plan is developed and agreed for each defined project.
• Communicate lessons learned and best practices from projects.
Requirements:
Experience:
• Experience with enterprise-wide and/or cross-functional large scale initiatives with high degree of complexity preferred.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, industrial engineering, or related field of study or equivalent work experience preferred
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
• Must have strong analytical
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Strong ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and worldwide entities.
• Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Experience with MRP
• Detail orientated.
• Strong ability to work independently.
• Strong decision-making skills
Pay range for this position is $75,000 - $120,000 depending on experience
Other:
Ability to travel up to 20% of time as needed.
