We are looking for a Project Manager for the NNF India Branch Office in New Delhi to support partnership development and project management of our health initiatives in India. The Novo Nordisk Foundation aims to find solutions for complex global problems, collaborating with researchers and organisations all over the world. Our international activities take a point of departure in our 2030 strategy and its focus on health and sustainability. In India, we have a portfolio of activities within health with a focus on CMDs and Anti Microbial Resistance (AMR), biotechnology, food systems, and a strengthened Danish-Indian bioscience system.
This role is anchored in our Global Partnerships & Events department, consisting of 24 colleagues located across our offices in Copenhagen, Nairobi, New Delhi, and Boston. You will be based in New Delhi, India reporting into the Head of Office; however, frequent travel primarily in India will be required as part of the job.
The job
As Project Manager, Health, you will support the Foundation’s partnerships in support of a broad portfolio of health initiatives in India in close collaboration with programme areas in the NNF Copenhagen HQ and partners in India. One of your primary responsibilities will be to support the scoping of new concepts, providing an understanding of the partnership landscape through engaging with stakeholders to ensure that we can create impact through our partners and activities.
You will work closely with various project teams within the Health Area, managing partners and projects within our broader health portfolio, whether diabetes and its complications, cardiovascular diseases or training of healthcare professionals.
Your key tasks will be to:
• Participate in or lead collaborations with partner organisations including international organisations, government agencies and implementing partners
• Contribute to scoping and developing new projects and initiatives that have potential to be launched in India, providing insights to the Foundation’s Engagement Plan in India
• Facilitate cross-country knowledge exchange for Indian projects and partners and contribute to regional discourse on cardiometabolic diseases
• Contribute to developing key documents for the Foundation’s senior management, Board of Directors and other key stakeholders
• Contribute to developing the Foundation’s global partnership model to engender best practices for internal coordination and external cohesion
• Participate in virtual project teams, building relationships between NNF India Branch Office and the Novo Nordisk Foundation HQ
Requirements:
We are looking for a professional with a master's degree or PhD, and professional background in health, whether global public health, health policy, epidemiology, clinical medicine, nursing or midwifery, or a related field. It is important for this role that you have strong insight into the Indian government systems (both central and state), local NGOs, and global partners as relevant.
Professionally, you have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience from managing health projects/programmes, either from a funding organisation or from the implementation side. You are an expert project manager, including co-creative project design, monitoring and evaluation and the ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously. Moreover, you excel in creating strong partnerships and have a strong network across different health stakeholders in India.
