Required Skills
Job Description
We are hiring a Field Project Manager to lead execution across our highway and heavy civil infrastructure projects.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in the field — not behind a desk. You’ll take ownership of projects involving drainage systems, guide rail/bridge rail, and concrete demolition, working across active DOT corridors.
We are a well-established contractor with decades of experience delivering complex, high-stakes infrastructure work. With a strong pipeline of DOT projects and continued growth, this role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact on field operations, team performance, and project delivery.
Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience managing field crews on highway, civil, or heavy infrastructure projects — you know how to lead people, not just schedule them
• Comfort navigating DOT-regulated project environments: documentation requirements, safety protocols, and public agency expectations are familiar territory
• A superintendent's instincts paired with a project manager's discipline — someone who can be in the field and in front of a schedule at the same time
• Experience in any combination of drainage/utility, bridge/guide rail, or concrete demolition is a genuine advantage; candidates from adjacent highway civil backgrounds will be considered
• Estimating familiarity is a plus, not a dealbreaker — the right field leader who can grow into bid support is equally compelling to this client
• Ability and willingness to travel overnight; projects are distributed across a wide geography and this role requires presence on the ground
• Valid driver's license; clean driving record
What You'll Do
• Lead field execution across multiple highway and civil infrastructure projects from mobilization through closeout
• Manage and supervise field crews across multiple job sites
• Oversee daily operations including:
• Labor coordination
• Subcontractor management
• Safety compliance
• Field decision-making
• Ensure projects stay on schedule, within scope, and meet quality standards
• Identify opportunities to improve field efficiency and execution
• Communicate regularly with internal teams on project status, costs, and schedule updates
• Participate in pre-construction planning
• Support estimating efforts for upcoming bids (projects up to ~$4M), if applicable
• Travel to active job sites as needed (overnight travel required across regional projects)
Benefits:
• Competitive salary (based on experience)
• Performance-based incentives / bonus potential
• 100% employer-paid medical insurance
• Health Savings Account (HSA)
• 401(k) retirement plan
• Profit-sharing program
• Company vehicle provided for project-related travel
• Direct access to leadership in a collaborative, high-impact environment
