Our team of innovators are world changers looking to disrupt the insurance industry. We envision the impossible and use our intellectual equity to make it possible! Don’t delay, join our team today!
Job Overview:
Toyota affiliate Connected Analytic Services (CAS) is launching a new Coaching Service program that leverages telematics data from connected Toyota and Lexus vehicles to encourage safer driving and support fairer insurance outcomes. As our Project Management Intern, you will help design, pilot, and operationalize this program internally with CAS and TIMS, with a longer‑term goal of preparing it for scale across Toyota. Your work will generate the evidence and playbooks we’ll share with insurance partners to demonstrate the power of telematics and behavioral coaching. You will also help drive best practices with TAI agents so they consistently request driving data whenever it’s available.
What You’ll Do:
1) Program Design & Internal Pilot (TIMS × CAS)
Translate program goals into a plan of record (milestones, dependencies, metrics); maintain RAID logs, schedules, and status updates.
Coordinate cross‑functional workstreams (product, analytics, actuarial, operations, privacy/legal, customer comms); run agendas/minutes and drive actions to closure.
Produce clear documentation—workflows, playbooks, user journeys, SOPs—to support pilot launch and scale.
2) Driving Behavior Data Best Practices (CAS/TIMS × Toyota Auto Insurance)
Measure driving performance and engagement internally across CAS/TIMS with a goal of making safe driving fun; identify opportunities for gamification to drive continuous participation.
Define and operationalize an “always ask for driving data when eligible” sales standard for TAI agents including agent prompts, scripts, and quote‑flow integration.
Map current telematics data flows and agent decision points; identify opportunities to improve how driving behavior data informs pricing communication, coaching offers, and operational processes.
Convert opportunities into scoped mini‑projects (objectives, owners, timelines) and track to completion.
3) Hypothesis‑Driven Experiments & Insights
Support experiment design (e.g., A/B tests or phased rollouts) to evaluate impacts on pricing fairness, safety outcomes (accident rates, claim‑severity proxies), and customer satisfaction/retention.
Build executive‑ready readouts that synthesize pilot results, insights, and recommendations for Toyota leadership and external insurance partners.
Develop data experiments to support analytical comparisons with Toyota lease and fleet clients.
4) Governance, Privacy & Change Management
Contribute to privacy/consent, data quality, and change control checklists; ensure documentation and release gates are met.
Support Agile/Lean ways of working and continuous improvement as the program matures.
5) Scale‑Up Readiness
Define operational requirements (roles, handoffs, SLAs, support model) and knowledge‑transfer assets to prepare for broader Toyota rollout.
Participate in the development of Agent webinars and training materials
Capture lessons learned and package partner enablement materials (case studies, one‑pagers, FAQs).
Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Business, Data/Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
Strong organization, communication, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable facilitating meetings and driving follow‑through.
Analytical mindset; ability to interpret metrics, identify trends, and craft recommendations.
Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with a PM tool (e.g., Jira, Azure Boards, Asana, Trello) is a plus.
Preferred:
Exposure to A/B testing/experimentation design and basics of SQL/Python/Power BI/Tableau.
Awareness of privacy/consent considerations and enterprise change management.
Compensation:
Base Salary: $20-$24 based on skills and experience
Minimum experience: Entry-level candidate; current college junior or senior, or pursuing a master’s degree.
