The COO Cross team is at the heart of reshaping the SCIB via COO-led strategic initiatives to meet the demands of a dynamic and competitive landscape. Responsible for driving transformational change across the organisation, this team is focused on helping to enable scalable growth, operational excellence and market leading client-centric experience.

The team, apart from the Cross Transversal Strategy initiatives, also encompasses strategic elements common to all COO functions such as:

• KYC & Transaction Driven Financial Crime Transformation

• Pre Post Trade Services Transformation

• Oversight, countries & TOM

• Third Party Risk Management

• Sourcing

• HUBs Management

• Quality Control

• Cross Transversal Strategy Initiative

The difference you’ll make:

• Supporting coordination and management of a portfolio of change projects, including tracking progress, risks, dependencies, and key deliverables

• Assisting in managing the change budget, including monitoring spend, supporting forecasting, and preparing financial updates

• Contributing to execution oversight of the change portfolio, ensuring initiatives remain aligned to objectives and timelines

• Engaging with local and global stakeholders across business lines and support functions to support delivery and maintain effective communication

• Partnering with senior team members to support delivery of SCIB COO and business-related strategic transformation initiatives

• Identifying and contributing to opportunities for operational improvement, efficiency, and alignment with SCIB and Group priorities

• Supporting development and implementation of scalable, efficient, and client-focused operating models

• Contributing to change initiatives by supporting innovation and continuous improvement efforts

• Working collaboratively within a high-performing team, taking ownership of defined workstreams and supporting junior colleagues where appropriate

The following requirements represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for success in this role.

• Previous experience in a project and/or programme management position within investment banking

• Experience with financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, or cost tracking

• Exposure to operating model design, process improvement, or change delivery methodologies

• Knowledge of banking products, regulation, and operations

• Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across functions and levels

• Well-developed organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines

• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a structured approach to delivering practical solutions

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrix environment with evolving priorities

• Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience preparing updates and materials for stakeholders

This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.

• Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus.

• We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
