Cornerstone Detention Products, Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Project Engineer to support the preparation, coordination, and management of material submittals and project documentation. This position plays a vital role in ensuring contract compliance, accurate submittals, and successful project execution in collaboration with architects, suppliers, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and coordinate job-specific approval submittals.
Review and verify drawings, specifications, and supplier documents for accuracy and compliance.
Create hardware, furniture, accessory, and glass schedules.
Develop and review RFI’s; ensure responses align with architectural intent.
Produce final submittals for approval and coordinate timely submissions.
Generate bill of materials and maintain accurate project records.
Assist with procurement of hardware, glass, and engineering-related items.
Attend project turnover meetings and maintain ongoing communication with project managers.
Provide field and file-use drawings and coordinate close-out documentation.
Support cost‑saving initiatives and value engineering where applicable.
Qualifications
High school diploma
2+ years of Construction Project Engineering experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and internet applications
Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities
Preferred:
Associate degree in Engineering/Drafting
4+ years of experience in Construction Project Engineering
Experience with detention equipment or similar industry
Physical & Mental Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds
Full mobility of head, torso, arms, and hands
Strong visual and auditory abilities
Ability to communicate clearly and perform basic math functions
