Urban Infraconstruction is looking for a Project Director to join our Heavy Civil Department. As an Project Director you will lead all operations within our Heavy Civil division. This role is responsible for overall project execution, operational performance, safety, financial results, and team leadership across multiple heavy civil projects. The ideal candidate brings strong field and executive leadership experience and a proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership teams
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
Drive financial performance through cost control, forecasting, and risk management
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and regulatory requirements
Partner with executive leadership on operational strategy, growth, and resource planning
Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, municipalities, engineers, and partners
Support business development by providing operational insight during pursuits and proposals
Develop, mentor, and retain top operational talent
Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the division
Qualifications
10+ years of heavy civil construction experience
Senior-level operations or project leadership experience
Strong background in infrastructure projects
Proven ability to lead multiple teams and large project portfolios
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
