Job Description
Primary Function:
The Project Coordinator's primary function is to provide MORRISON's Project Management team support in all aspects and stages of project execution on an as needed basis. The Project Coordinator will work directly under the guidance of the Project Manager assisting with estimating, bid submittal, drafting of project procedures, cost tracking, project status and updates, project close-out, etc.
Responsibilities:
Technical Support
Capable of drafting project procedures utilizing go-by's from previous projects
Collaborate with Engineering, Estimating, and Project Management to assist/facilitate communication of cross-function interfaces
Work in conjunction with the Project Manager to ensure schedule and compliance with project specifications, scope of work, and subcontract terms and conditions
Liaise with operations management teams to plan and oversee on-site execution of planned projects (may require project worksite visits)
Assist with the development of customer requested technical project documents
Assist Project Manager in all phases of project coordination and execution of projects
Able to define and communicate technical project status, updates, and objectives that are clear, useful and attainable
Accountable for assigned project objectives (i.e., manpower resources, logistics, equipment and rentals, schedule, scope, and quality, etc.)
Administrative & Coordination
Compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, and correspondence
Compile, review, and analyze data assigned by the Project Manager
Work with multiple Project Managers, Project Engineers, Estimating, etc. as needed in support of projects
Develop processes to enhance workflow
Prepare a lessons-learned at the end of each project and issue for internal review and discussion

Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and/or business-related fields, or equivalent, relevant experience
Pre-Requisites:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrate analytical and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Projects
Understanding of project accounting
Ingenuity:
Self-motivated, possess interpersonal skills to maintain good working relationships
Ability to operate under pressure, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, and meet deadlines independently
Ability to effectively work within Microsoft Office applications and learn Company specific applications
Location:
Position will be located in Houma, LA or Houston, TX. Houma is the preferred location; however, candidates may reside in Houston. If located in Houston, some travel to Houma will be required.
