About the role
The Project Coordinator is a vital contributor to successful project delivery across the organisation. Working closely with Project Managers within the Project Management Office (PMO), this role ensures effective coordination between teams, maintains accurate and up-to-date project documentation, and actively supports the execution of projects to meet established timelines, quality standards, and objectives.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Project Planning & Documentation
Manage Small Business projects
Assist Project Managers in drafting, updating, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
Coordinate and adjust project schedules based on team and stakeholder input.
Identify potential risks and issues proactively and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
Maintain project management and reporting tools such as Halo, Power BI, and others to ensure accurate tracking and visibility.
Monitoring & Reporting
Track and report on project progress, quality metrics, and deliverables to ensure alignment with timelines and objectives.
Communicate regular updates and reports to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Meeting & Stakeholder Coordination
Prepare for and facilitate project meetings by creating agendas, recording minutes, and tracking action items.
Liaise across departments, product solution groups, and field technicians to support seamless project delivery.
Coordinate vendor interactions and manage third-party service requests.
Project Execution Support
Support on-site training sessions and assist in project handovers to ensure smooth transitions.
Respond to supply chain support requests and coordinate activities as needed to avoid project delays.
Education, Experience and Skills:
National senior certificate (Grade 12) is essential
Minimum of 2 years' experience in project management
Higher Certificate, Diploma and/or Degree in Project Management
Project Management Fundamentals (PMF) certification or equivalent is advantageous
Prince2 Foundation certification is advantageous
Excellent planning and organisational abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively in diverse teams
A responsible individual who adopts a results drive approach.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Positive attitude and a passion for the role.
