The Port of Skagit is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support capital improvement and facilities maintenance projects across Port properties. This position works closely with the Capital Projects Manager to help coordinate project documentation, scheduling, communication, and tracking throughout the lifecycle of construction and maintenance projects.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing complex information, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and helping projects move forward smoothly. You will play an important role in supporting projects that improve infrastructure across Port facilities including the airport, marina, and business parks.
What You’ll Do
As a Project Coordinator, you will provide administrative and technical coordination support for capital improvement and facilities maintenance projects. This may include organizing project files, tracking schedules and compliance requirements, preparing meeting notes and status reports, and coordinating communication between Port staff, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
You will assist with project setup, procurement documentation, contract compliance tracking, and invoice processing while maintaining organized project records in accordance with public agency requirements. The role may also involve supporting environmental permitting documentation, assisting with grant reporting, and helping track project-related financial and compliance information.
This position may also support small works construction projects by assisting with contractor solicitation, tracking project schedules and documentation, conducting site visits to observe project progress, and helping ensure projects meet Port policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Two (2) or more years of administrative or project support experience
Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
Valid Washington State driver’s license (must be insurable)
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or a related field
Experience supporting capital projects, construction, or public agency projects
Experience using project management or project tracking software
Familiarity with project documentation, permitting, or procurement processes
Work Environment
This position works primarily in an office setting but may occasionally conduct site visits at Port facilities. Work may involve walking on uneven surfaces and visiting active project areas including aviation, marine, and industrial environments.
Pay & Benefits
Wage Range: $30.79 – $46.19 per hour
