Job Description
Tri-City Group is currently seeking a Project Controls Analyst for Port Washington, WI. The Project Controls Analyst will support the financial and operational performance of large-scale construction projects. This role plays a key part in managing project data, maintaining schedules, and ensuring accurate reporting to help drive informed decision-making and minimize financial risk
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS/CBS)
Implement and manage EVMS and Primavera P6 project schedules
Perform weekly updates, reconciliations, and performance reporting (CPI, SPI, HPI)
Track and report on change orders, EWOs, and subcontractor/vendor costs
Support billing processes, SOVs, and financial reporting
Audit billing documentation and monitor project cash flow and commitments
Assist with subcontractor/vendor onboarding and project setup
Train field teams on project controls systems (EVMS, P6, FDE)
Provide ongoing analytical and administrative support to project teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of project controls or related experience
Strong Excel skills
Solid understanding of cost, schedule, and progress tracking
Working knowledge of earned value, forecasting, and productivity metrics
Experience maintaining key project logs (change, risk, quantities)
Ability to develop and deliver weekly and monthly project reports
Experience with electrical construction, mission-critical, hyperscale, or data center projects (preferred)
Candidates must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project performance data and ensure accuracy across reporting systems. This includes a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. Candidates must also communicate effectively and collaborate across field teams, project management, accounting, and scheduling functions
