This full-time, on-site role is focused on technical excellence, cross-functional coordination, and the delivery of code-compliant, high-quality designs for a diverse portfolio of commercial and institutional buildings.
Job Overview
As a Project Architect, you will be responsible for the technical execution and management of complex building projects. You will act as the primary bridge between design intent and physical construction, ensuring that all construction documents meet rigorous standards while managing timelines and consultant workflows. This role is ideal for a licensed or experienced professional looking to take ownership of the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Design & Documentation: Lead the architectural design process and oversee the production of comprehensive technical documentation and project specifications.
• Project Leadership: Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring milestones are met from the initial schematic phase through project close-out.
• Consultant Coordination: Act as the central point of contact for MEP, structural, and civil engineering consultants to ensure seamless system integration.
• Technical Compliance: Serve as the primary resource for building code interpretation, life safety requirements, and local permitting processes.
• Construction Administration: Provide technical support during the construction phase, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and site visits.
• Client Engagement: Maintain professional, client-facing communication to provide project updates and resolve technical design challenges.
Requirements
• Education: Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited program.
• Experience: Proven track record as a Project Architect or Senior Designer, specifically on commercial, retail, or institutional project types.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes (IBC/Florida Building Code).
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in architectural design and documentation software (such as Revit, AutoCAD, or Bluebeam).
• Management Skills: Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of detail and organization.
