GEA is seeking a talented Finance Professional to join our team as Project Administrator for the GEA Systems North America - Heating and Refrigeration Technologies team.
Based in York, Pennsylvania, this person will be responsible for maintaining the quality and governance of our project-based business. Previous experience completing assigned tasks on-time with a high level of quality, executing projects, strong analytical skills as well as solid written and verbal communication skills will be critical to this individual’s success.
Roles And Responsibilities:
• Establish constructive relationships with the Heating and Refrigeration team.
• Collaborate with Sales Administration to:
• Create and maintain local system projects set up (customer, capital expenditure and other internal projects), in accordance with local company, business area and group level guidelines.
• Validate Tax Exemptions / Tax Codes associated with customer projects
• Complete monthly order intake and large order reports.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to:
• Ensure project milestones are accurately translated into billing milestones, and updated throughout the course of projects.
• Invoice customers based on milestones and other contractual details, including pass through freight and other agreed upon expenses.
• Maintaining change notice/orders in the local ERP for customer projects.
• Coordinate with Shared Services team to facilitate transactional processing, timely vendor invoice processing, customer billing, release of lien waivers, collections and accurate financial records
• Collaborate with Accounting team to:
• Complete assigned monthly closing activities timely and accurately
• Issue intercompany invoices for regional operational and functional support costs.
• Continually improve financial and business processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness and process sustainability
• Reduce waste by automating repetitive tasks through the use of available systems and Office tools
• Provide finance expertise to assist others in understanding financial information
• Continually develop industry and company knowledge as well as project management skills and technical expertise
Your Profile / Qualifications
Profile And Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (preferred), Finance or another Business area preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a business environment, preferably in an Accounting, Finance, or Audit capacity (including undergraduate internships), demonstrating an ability to learn on the job, work independently, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of finance operational cycles, preferably gained through hands-on experience, a plus.
• Excellent communication
• Resilient in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with ERP software, analytical and collaboration tools a significant plus
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
