IITA is an international non-profit agricultural research-for-development (R4D) organization established in 1967, governed by a board of trustees, and a member of the CGIAR consortium. Our R4D approach is anchored on the development needs of tropical nations, we work with partners to enhance crop quality and productivity, reduce producer and consumer risks and generate wealth from agriculture.
The international institute of tropical agriculture seeks suitable candidates for this position at the institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan.
Responsibilities:
(2 years renewable contract)
Assist the project Manager with day to day project administration
Monitor timely completion and reporting to the project product delivery and annual milestones
Follow up with IITA scientists, project administration office, and projects partners to ensure high quality reports are submitted in timely manner.
Assist in implementation of evaluations/impact assessments.
Assist with monitoring the project burn rate.
Qualification:
Master’s degree in business administration, project management or other related fields.
Minimum of four years experience in project administration
Good understanding of budgeting and financial management procedures
Excellent computer skills with good grasp of spreadsheets, word processing and other MS office applicants, and ability to learn new applications quickly.
Excellent English reporting, writing and oral communication skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft office (outlook, excel, word and power point)
Strong ability to co-ordinate, priorities and organize workload, take initiative and work under pressure.
