Our client is a growing and highly regarded consulting engineering firm. They are looking for a full-time Project Accountant to work the N. Atlanta office. The Project Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and be responsible for overseeing various financial aspects of projects including creation, review, billing and revenue. Will work close with design Project Managers to manage all financial aspects of projects including managing contracts to ensure terms are met, project set up, budget monitoring, financial analysis to support bids, oversee invoicing, clean up and closeouts. Will use Acumatica to maintain project records. Client offers outstanding benefits including 100% co paid medical, dental and vision and 3 weeks vacation to start.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of AEC industry experience.
• Intermediate skills in Excel required, advanced preferred. Ability to create pivot tables, use lookup functions, understand and edit excel formulas etc.
Skills & Competencies:
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and standard practices
• Proficiency in specialized project accounting software (e.g. Oracle, Deltek) and other financial management tools (Textura). Acumatica experience is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and have strong attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in managing general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey financial information to different audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to regulatory changes, new technologies and a growing/evolving business environment.
