Delivery Overview
In 2026 Char.gy expects to be awarded multiple contracts with Local Government organisations and private landlords to deploy Charging Points (CPs) across the UK and ultimately expect to deploy 100,000 CPs by 2030. The Delivery Team is growing to meet this demand and we require a Programme Manager to provide oversight to all Delivery Projects.
Position Overview
This is a new role in the organisation and the post holder will be empowered to manage the programme of Delivery Projects using the tools provided to achieve customer and Char.gy goals.
The Programme Manager will report to the Head of Delivery and work closely with each Project Manager together with collaborating across Char.gy departments to align project forecasts with required resources.
The programme will:
Deliver – deliver the CPs required under the customer contract to time, cost and quality!
Manage Suppliers – ensure appropriate suppliers are assigned to projects and those suppliers are engaged with clear instructions with clarity of expectations
Project Information – complete accurate planning and ensure relevant information is shared
Control Change – working with the various internal and external stakeholders to ensure any baseline scope changes are identified early and managed to agreement with all parties
Key Responsibilities
The Programme Manager will supply the Head of Delivery with key information about the progress of all opportunities from bid stage through to Handover of CP assets into Live Service
Management of the Programme team incl. all project managers
Contract and budget management. Work with the finance team and Asset Managers to manage change ensuring any potential contractual or budget changes are identified early and communicated within Char.gy
Maintain routine communication with all departments in Char.gy highlighting performance along with any foreseen risks
Delivery information management with simple organisation and absolute clarity of deliverables
Located in the Office (London) at least 3 days per week and expected to travel frequently to meet customers as the designated escalation point for the projects.
Person Specification
Essential
An outstanding and willing communicator using appropriate written and verbal communications to a varied audience across all Delivery stakeholders
Has a track record of delivering projects that include civils and electrical installations
A project management professional with strong skills using MS Teams, Sharepoint, MS Project Planner, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
A good manager of Project Managers providing coaching and mentoring of individuals to be the best that they can be.
Desirable
Worked in a programmes associated to Small Works contracts and NEC4 contracts
An understanding of working with Local Governments
Experience working with SiteTracker (our project management tool) or Sales Force and Power BI (data analysis)
