Quick Summary

The Programme Manager - Energy Efficiency Hub is responsible for developing and implementing energy efficiency projects in the OECD member countries, with a focus on promoting sustainable development and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Job Description

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation comprised of 38 member countries, that works to build better policies for better lives. Our mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. Together with governments, policy makers and citizens, we work on establishing evidence-based international standards, and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges. From improving economic performance and creating jobs to fostering strong education and fighting international tax evasion, we provide a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best-practice sharing, and advice on public policies and international standard-setting.

The IEA is an intergovernmental organisation committed to advancing security of energy supply, economic growth and environmental sustainability through energy policy co-operation. The IEA operates as an autonomous body within the framework of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Both the OECD and the IEA actively seek opportunities to engage with a wider range of countries beyond their membership, including emerging and influential economies that play an increasingly significant role in the global landscape.

The Energy Efficiency Hub (Hub) provides a platform for global collaboration on energy efficiency. Its roles include: fostering collaboration and synergies to enhance energy efficiency work globally; supporting the sharing of information, best practices and research between countries, international organisations and the private sector to promote cohesion of work of different stakeholders in the field of energy efficiency; providing greater visibility for energy efficiency issues; and enhancing collaborative activities with the International Energy Agency and with other relevant organisations. The key mechanism for collaboration is a portfolio of Member-led Task Groups facilitating exchange and collaboration on specific topics of shared interest.

The Hub has a distinct identity as a mechanism for international collaboration on energy efficiency through its participants. As of February 2026 the Hub has seventeen Members and its Secretariat is hosted by the International Energy Agency (IEA).

The Energy Efficiency Hub wishes to recruit a Programme Manager and seeks an exceptional candidate to fill this important position. The successful candidate will report to the Head of the Hub Secretariat.
