About You
As Programme Lead, you will be a visible, hands-on people leader — the primary point of Auckland based support, guidance, and professional growth for our lecturing faculty across our Auckland campuses. You will build a high-performing, collaborative team by actively mentoring lecturers to continually improve teaching quality and keep pace with a rapidly evolving industry.
You will be comfortable overseeing programme delivery of undergraduate courses in Auckland, monitoring performance against quality benchmarks, and supporting continuous improvement in curriculum, assessment, and student outcomes. You will champion a culture of teaching excellence, ensuring every lecturer is equipped, motivated, and supported to deliver outstanding learning experiences.
You will also work with the Programme Head and Chair to provide academic leadership across the programme, maintaining strong industry partnerships and ensuring alignment with the programme's specialisations and next iterations. An understanding of data sciences, digital ethics, AI and society, and design thinking will support the continued development of our programmes.
Skills and Qualifications
Postgraduate degree (Master's or PhD) in Data Sciences
Experience in tertiary teaching within computing or technology disciplines
Prior programme/curriculum development and co-ordination experience.
Good understanding of current and emerging technologies across the programme's specialisations: AI/Machine Learning, Data Analytics.
An understanding of higher education quality frameworks and processes
Experience with work-integrated learning models and industry partnership development
