Job Breakdown:
The Programmatic Supervisor leads a team of 1–3 programmatic buyers and is responsible for overseeing programmatic buying strategy, campaign execution, and optimization across a select book of business. This role partners closely with Media Planning and cross-functional teams to translate strategy into high-performing programmatic campaigns that drive measurable client outcomes.
The Supervisor brings senior-level programmatic expertise, serves as a strategic resource to internal stakeholders, and plays a critical role in developing junior talent. While this position remains hands-on keys as needed, its primary focus is people leadership and process creation, coaching buyers to strengthen their technical proficiency, strategic thinking, and ownership of campaign performance. The role also contributes to strengthening platform, data, and inventory partnerships to support innovation and growth.
This role reports to the Associate Director, Programmatic.
What You’ll Do:
Manage, train, and mentor a junior team of programmatic buyers, supporting their growth across all aspects of programmatic buying, trafficking, optimization, and reporting.
Coach team members to build hands-on-keys expertise while gradually increasing strategic ownership and accountability.
Provide ongoing feedback, performance guidance, and knowledge sharing to elevate team output and consistency.
Lead programmatic buying strategy, optimization, and performance management across multiple accounts and campaigns.
Partner with Media Planning to ensure programmatic approaches align with broader media strategy and client objectives.
Review and refine programmatic media plans, including detailed targeting and tactical recommendations developed by junior team members.
Translate performance insights into clear, actionable optimizations and strategic recommendations.
Serve as a programmatic subject-matter expert to internal teams including Business Intelligence, Media Planning, Client Services, and Account Leadership.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with DSPs, data providers, inventory partners, and technology vendors.
Establish and evolve best practices, workflows, and documentation to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability of programmatic operations.
Support account growth and retention by ensuring programmatic performance, innovation, and strategic value.
What You Bring:
6+ years of experience in digital media, with an increasing focus on programmatic buying.
Proficient in excel with experience pulling DSP reporting and analyzing performance for recommendations, optimizations and insights
Experience in understanding complex subject matter and translating it into simple, relatable terms for different audiences.
Must be an active programmatic buyer, with hands on keys buying, optimizing and reporting on multiple channels including CTV, OLV and Display
Experience in The Trade Desk is a plus but not required
Experience buying streaming audio, digital OOH programmatically and/or Youtube is a plus but not required
Salary Range:
$80,000 - $100,000

This role is remote; however, if the position is filled by a candidate based in Colorado, the individual will be expected to follow a hybrid schedule aligned with our Denver team, working in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
