We are looking for a talented, dedicated professional to be a China-based Program Officer supporting Goldsmiths, University of London, via Grok Global Services’ Program Office. The role will be based in Shanghai and will be fully dedicated to representing the institution.
The role’s primary focus will be to support Goldsmith’s recruitment activities in China, managing and delivering in-country projects and activities (working with a Beijing-based colleague), and supporting the International Student Recruitment manager in providing a resilient base of applications and enrolments to the University.
You will play a key role in implementing Goldsmith’s international recruitment strategy by supporting the delivery of recruitment and engagement activities targeting prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students, leading to the applications and enrolment of quality students from China.
Moreover, you will play a vital role in managing and developing relationships with Goldsmith's key stakeholders in mainland China. This will include, but not be limited to, preparing and delivering presentations and training workshops, participating in education exhibitions, and fostering connections with students and parents, key agents, and school counsellors.
You will also be expected to:
work closely with UK-based staff involved in undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment from China and colleagues in other areas of the University
provide market insights and country-specific updates to inform future planning
record and report your recruitment activities and expenditures accuratelyThe position involves frequent interaction with China market stakeholders, and significant travel time is required (30%).

The Pogram Officer position will sit with the International Student Recruitment & Global Opportunities Team, part of the Communications, Marketing and Recruitment Department. The Communications, Marketing and Recruitment (CMR) team plays a central role in telling the Goldsmiths story to our key international audiences. Our CMR Strategy is aligned to four institutional objectives (a distinctive academic portfolio and approach to teaching and learning; research engaged in real world problems; promoting Goldsmiths as a cultural hub; preparing students for the future job market)
The Most Suitable Background
Relevant professional qualifications in a discipline such as sales, marketing or international studies.
1-2 years of experience in roles related to international education and recruitment.
Demonstrated ability to build and manage effective relationships with multiple stakeholders from diverse backgrounds leading to quality business outcomes.
Strong public presentation skills, and oral and written English language communication skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours and ability to undertake domestic and international travel when required.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and experience in coordinating projects, workflows and resources to ensure positive customer outcomes.
Fluency in both English and Mandarin, Chinese.
