VEMA is seeking a compassionate and experienced Program Manager to lead one of our DDD group homes serving youth. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with experience in Developmental Disabilities (DDD), Behavioral Health, and/or Assisted Living environments.
We are looking for a leader who can maintain a structured daily routine while incorporating meaningful activities both in the home and the community. The ideal candidate is skilled in behavioral management, crisis de-escalation, positive redirection, and documentation, and thrives in a hands-on leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the DDD youth group home
Ensure implementation and compliance with Behavior Treatment Plans
Provide leadership and supervision to direct care staff
Manage acute behaviors using positive behavior supports and de-escalation techniques
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Ensure compliance with state and local regulatory requirements
Coordinate activities that promote engagement at home and in the community
Respond to emergencies and provide on-call support as required
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum:
2 years of direct behavioral health experience within the organization OR
4 years of behavioral health experience in assisted living, behavioral health group homes, DDD group homes, residential homes, or nursing homes
Related management experience
Knowledge of psychiatric illnesses and psychotropic medications
Strong behavioral management background
Knowledge of state and local regulations
Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain)
Eligible driver with a clean AZ 39-month driving record
Ability to meet physical requirements (see below)
Preferred:
Certified DCW background
Experience working with DDD youth and/or DCS-involved children
G-Tube experience
Required Certifications
CPR Certification
First Aid Certification
Prevention & Support
Article 9
Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Clean AZ 39-Month Driving Record
Physical & Mental Requirements
Lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Stand for extended periods
Remain awake and alert throughout scheduled shifts
Respond effectively to emergencies
Complete and participate in required trainings
No physical restrictions that cannot be reasonably accommodated
