Work closely with the Director of Nursing Education and Continuing Education and Westchester Division’s Director of Nursing Practice to lead program planning, development, and implementation of health including patient education, nursing education and research initiatives. Manage daily operations including curriculum development, staff performance appraisals, budget preparation, strategic planning, maintain evidence based practices and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify in-service needs; empowering nurses at every level to live the hospital mission Putting Patients First.

Ideal Criteria
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Instructor
Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor
Demonstrated success in strategic development of nursing education models
Experience in incorporating technology into education and a true passion for teaching
Leadership experience in a Magnet designation academic medical center
Clinical background in psychiatric nursing
Certification in Nursing Professional Development

Required Criteria
Master's degree in Nursing
Progressive leadership experience in nursing education
Current NYS RN licensure (or ability to obtain within 3 months)

5+ to 7 years experience

Does the candidate have a NYS RN license?
Does the candidate have a masters degree in nursing?
Does the candidate have at least 5 years of experience in nursing education?
Does the candidate have experience in nursing management?
Is the candidate a Crisis Prevention Intervention Instructor?
Is the candidate a Basic Life Support Instructor?

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
-Looking for a high energy, go-getter with magnet
-Must have at least 5 years of education experience.
-Must be a Crisis Prevention Intervention and BLS instructor
-Psych background preferred.
- Overseeing the mental health educators and there are 2 of them and a part time person
- Very involved with the day to day
- #1 psych hospital - already dropped the application for Magnet - on it's way to Magnet designation (applied to start the journey). Haven't wrote the document.
