BGC Okanagan is hiring temporary, part-time Program Area Leaders for our club in Lake Country, BC. Join our team, where every day brings a new adventure. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans and implements activities and special events for a program.
Oversees the day-to-day operation of the program by ensuring that the necessary facilities and equipment are in place, program guidelines and policies are adhered to, and program standards and licensing requirements are met.
Makes recommendations to the supervisor regarding program development, policy and procedure formulation, and program evaluation.
Promotes public awareness of and support for the program by performing duties such as producing promotional materials and attending community events.
Liaises with community service providers and other professionals to coordinate service provision, facilitate referrals to the program, and represent the organization or program in external events.
Maintains related records and statistics and produces reports as required.
Qualifications:
A diploma, certificate and/or relevant experience working with children in recreation, education or other social services.
Valid First Aid certificate
20 Hours Responsible Adult training or willingness to obtain
Class 4 Driver’s Licence or willingness to obtain it immediately
Successful completion of Agency screening including a Criminal Record Check
Must be at least 19 years of age as per Provincial Licensing Regulations
Additional Information:
These positions are open to all applicants
These positions require union membership
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Rate of Pay: $19.82 per hour
