Production Technician

JOB BRIEF

 The position is expected to perform a variety of tasks, to include assemble and testing of industrial PC’s and controls systems used in industrial automation applications.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

Provide and lead support to both internal and external parties with a high level of professionalism and in a manner that reflects positively on the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Performs assembly and testing of single board computers, embedded PC’s, panel PC’s, industrial chassis and workstations, PC140 modules and data acquisition products as assigned by production supervisor.

Confers with quality assurance personnel in proper and efficient way of integration of industrial PC components.

Confers with production support technician in resolving problems relating to proper operation of equipment under test.

Examines parts and accessories for conformance with specification. Alerts quality assurance personnel when necessary.

Maintains tools and equipment in assigned work area.

Must adhere to Quality Management System.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES: 

High school or Associates of Science (A.S.) degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science is plus.

One to two years related industrial PC’s and controls systems assemble experience and/or training.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals and technical diagrams and procedures.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, fellow employees and customers.

Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.

Ability to lift at least 50lb merchandize.
