Production Supervisor, Scripting and Subtitling

Scope

As part of the WW Scripting and Subtitling Department, this role will provide leadership and production management support to the Scripting and Subtitling operations.

The role is managerial in essence and requires strong leadership skills as well as an understanding of the localization businesses and servicing pipeline. Strong English editing skills and experience in editorial processes and standards are highly preferred.

The role is fully from facility in Cairo (Smart Village).

Primary Responsibilities

· Responsible for management of scripting and subtitling projects, quality, workflows, and on-time delivery

· Create and update work schedules maintaining capacity and utilization balance

· Identify areas of opportunity to enhance overall production efficiencies and work closely with other department leaders to meet deadlines and quality requirements

· Work on VIP titles occasionally or at-risk projects along with any other production priorities

· Training and cross-training of English editors on new client requirements, software, workflows and tools

· Plan complex projects manage the execution of them and develop process improvements.

· Generate capacity projections and utilization reports to effectively gauge productivity, quality, and performance

· Responsible for implementation and follow-up of professional growth plans for team members at different levels

· Identify and define opportunities for tool, workflow, systems, and team strategy

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree

· 5+ years of experience in subtitling/localization

· Excellent communication skills, spelling/vocabulary and grammar

· Experience in leading teams and managing complex schedules and resource allocation to projects

· Mastery of professional subtitling software and verifiers

· Comfortable with data visualization and analysis, ability to communicate plans visually and in a data-driven manner

· Ability to handle multiple tasks while focusing on a high amount of attention to detail

· Maintains a professional, levelheaded demeanor under all circumstances

· Must be punctual, dependable, and flexible and possess a team attitude and willingness to adapt to last-minute changes to programming and industry

· Ability to perform under pressure with changing priorities
