The Production Planner is responsible for ensuring efficient and reliable production scheduling across Avery Dennison’s manufacturing operations. This role focuses on optimizing production plans, minimizing downtime, and aligning manufacturing output with customer demand. The incumbent will manage demand and supply planning, coordinate cross-functional activities, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on work order specifications, production priorities, machine and manpower capacity, and material availability.
• Plan and coordinate daily manufacturing activities to ensure production output and product quality meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Customer Service to prioritize urgent or special sales orders and align production accordingly.
• Ensure all production activities are executed in line with committed shipping dates.
• Perform demand and supply planning to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure material readiness.
• Work closely with Production, Purchasing, and other stakeholders to coordinate material replenishment and ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct cost and efficiency analysis to identify the most effective approaches for scheduling, inventory management, production, and logistics.
• Monitor and analyze production performance and service KPIs, identifying bottlenecks and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review and adjust production schedules proactively to accommodate changing priorities, capacity constraints, or unexpected disruptions.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or related functions.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and execute operational requirements.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage (to support coordination with regional stakeholders).
