Role Overview:
Responsible for planning and coordinating production schedules and production orders to ensure efficient use of resources and timely delivery of projects. This role requires close collaboration with Build, Production Engineering, Supply Chain and other departments to balance demand and capacity to manage production plans that align with project timelines. You will be responsible for managing workflow through the shopfloor by scheduling production orders based on resource availability, parts supply and planned build schedules. Given the agile nature of the business and the rapid development cycles, a structured yet adaptable approach is essential.
Responsibilities will include:
Use of project plans to schedule production work packages (Jira/MS Project)
Use of MRP system to create and manage production orders (Infor LN)
Resourcing of production plans
Co-ordinating with production team to evaluate resource availability and production order completion.
Co-ordinating with supply chain to evaluate materials availability
Co-ordinating with Production Engineering to review production readiness
Participation in cross-functional meetings to prioritise build requirements
Use of MRP system to check and edit BOMs, routings and planned completion dates where required
Support the transition of projects from development build to production, ensuring a smooth handover once production variants are finalised.
Coordinate with production engineering and operations to refine planning processes, optimise efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
Use of MRP system(s)
Use of production planning tools (MS Project/Jira)
Experience within complex manufacturing environments
Good understanding of design, engineering and manufacturing terminology
High level of PC literacy with competent use of standard MS Office products
Excellent organisation and communication skills
Desirable:
Proven experience within a planning or scheduling role
Use of Infor LN (MRP)
Use of Jira
Familiarity with engineering drawings
Use of CAD software
Experience in the marine manufacturing industry or a similar field (composites, aerospace, automotive)
Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with UK National security clearance required for certain roles.*
