Production Line Technician (Fully Automated Machine)

• Bosch has been present in Malaysia since 1923, represented by Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd, with offices located in Selangor and Penang. • Key person to run and support automated EC motor production lines (max. 2 lines) and to solve any ad hoc issues in production (including maintenance and adjustment of machines to achieve defined quality and output).
• The person must be able to run the automated production lines independently, taking up roles similar to combination of operator, POUP, line leader and maintenance technician for manual assembly lines. The goal is to sustain the highly automated EC motor lines with OEE of 85% and above.
• Main tasks include:
• 1.1 Responsible for model changeover including machine setup and parameter changes.
• 1.2 Responsible to perform machine troubleshooting whenever necessary.
• 1.3 Responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance of the lines including spare parts.
• 1.4 Responsible for 1st article confirmation at beginning of the shift and after every changeover.
• 1.5 Responsible for raw material ordering, replenishing of raw material to machines during
• production.
• 1.6 Responsible for 1st level failure analysis of reject parts or components from production line to
• identify process or supplier related issue for failures.
• 1.7 Responsible to confirm non-conformance part and perform inspection and rework activity
• whenever necessary.
• 1.8 Responsible for relevant production KPIs of the line e.g. hourly output, OEE, FOR, quality target,
• 7s etc.
• 1.9 Assist new line setup with machine suppliers, other maintenance technicians, process, and
• equipment engineers.
• 1.10 Support continuous improvement of autonomous and preventive maintenance checklist.
• 1.11 Support training of new EC motor line technicians whenever necessary.
• 1.12 Support samples build in production and pilot run activities for new models.
• 1.13 Participate in daily morning meeting and actively support with line improvement activities.
• 1.14 Other ad hoc tasks as and when required/assigned by superior.
• Remark: Competency must be certified by Electrical Commission (ST) for technicians who are required to exclusively handle electrical installation for the production lines and machines which are operated by an incoming power supply of not more than 415 VAC – single phase/three phase or both.

• Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Added advantages with one of following specialties:
• Certificate of Competency from the Malaysian Energy Commission (ST) which qualifies the certificate holder to be a Wireman or Chargeman
• Computer science, C++ Programming, Networking, Computer Hardware/Software
• PLC programming, HMI interface, Servo Drive technology (Siemens, Beckhoff etc.) and Robotics (Epson, Kuka, Cognex, Keyence…)
• Knowledge and Exposure.
• At least 3 years experience in highly automated production environment.
• Able to understand and interpret technical drawing.
• Hands-on experience on failure analysis and problem-solving methodology.
• Knowledge in SAP and Microsoft Office is a must.
• Knowledge, Skills and Ability.
• Readiness to work in two or three shift patterns (morning-night, morning-afternoon, morning afternoon-night) and run constantly overtime incl. weekends to meet production output.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and self-motivation.
• Willing to travel abroad (for short term e.g. to China) if necessary.
