Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer with strong expertise in Steel Fabrication (Structural, Plates, and Piping) to manage and oversee fabrication activities for large-scale industrial projects including Refineries, Petrochemical plants, Fertilizer projects, and Storage Tank erection works. The candidate must have hands-on experience working with reputed contracting companies engaged in heavy fabrication and industrial construction projects.

Client Interview in India in 1st week of March.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise fabrication activities for structural steel, plate works, piping spools, and storage tanks.

• Ensure production targets are achieved in line with project schedules and quality standards.

• Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and isometric drawings accurately.

• Monitor material utilization and control wastage.

• Coordinate with QA/QC, Planning, Procurement, and Project teams for smooth workflow.

• Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS, etc.).

• Supervise welding, cutting, rolling, assembly, and fit-up activities.

• Prepare daily production reports and progress updates.

• Optimize manpower deployment and shop floor efficiency.

• Ensure adherence to HSE standards and safe work practices.

• Support project team during inspections, audits, and client visits.

• Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce fabrication cycle time.
