Job Summary
The Production Employee – Insulated Glass (IG) Line supports the manufacturing of sealed units used in windows and doors. This entry-level role focuses on assisting with glass handling, assembly, sealing, and general production tasks while following safety and quality standards. The Production Employee works as part of a team to meet daily production targets in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Material Handling & Workflow
Move, stage, and organize glass units, spacers, and materials along the production line.
Keep workstations stocked and support smooth production flow between stations.
Production Support (Assembly & Sealing)
Assist with assembling insulated glass units, including placing spacers and preparing glass.
Support sealing and finishing processes following standard procedures.
Operate basic equipment and tools as trained.
Quality Checks & Finishing
Perform basic visual checks for defects such as scratches, debris, or misalignment.
Clean glass units and ensure finished products meet basic quality standards.
Safety & Teamwork
Follow all safety procedures, especially when handling glass, and wear required PPE.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work with team members to meet daily production goals and communicate any issues.
Requirements
Previous manufacturing or production experience is an asset but not required.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Basic comfort using hand tools.
Attention to detail and reliability.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely (one-person lift).
Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
