Production Data Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role within New Flyer by providing essential administrative support to the production team. This position involves the accurate and efficient management of documentation related to the bus fabrication process, ensuring that all materials are created, maintained, and updated as needed. You will be responsible for facilitating communication and coordination among department members to drive successful outcomes in production.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

· Assemble production books to ensure all necessary documentation is available for production.

· Create and maintain master production books for new models, making updates as necessary.

· Ensure timely entry of serial numbers and maintain daily audits of shell availability.

· Track road test notes for buses entering production lines.

· Generate Quality Assurance (QA) release sheets for all targeted release buses.

· Run and maintain mid-day hours and incomplete reports to monitor production efficiency.

· Manage the line exit status report for all completed buses.

· Order and maintain necessary factory supplies to support production operations.

· Compile and maintain plant metrics reports to gauge production performance.

· Update production books with Customer Specific Concerns or Hot Sheets as required.

· Coordinate data requests related to disassembled production books.

· Provide backup support to the Production Administrator as needed.

Requirements:
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with ERP/MRP systems.

· Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM.

· Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.

· Capability to work independently and self-manage tasks to completion.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while multitasking.

· Meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
