Position Summary
The Production Control Leader / MRP Systems Leader is responsible for building, implementing, and managing Innofiber’s production planning and MRP framework.
This role will rebuild and optimize the company’s planning infrastructure following a failed ERP implementation. The leader will ensure the accuracy of BOMs, routings, part master data, units of measure, lead times, and planning parameters, ensuring the ERP system reflects real manufacturing processes.
Working cross-functionally with operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, and leadership, this role will drive reliable production planning, system integrity, and operational scalability. The ideal candidate combines deep MRP expertise, Lean manufacturing knowledge, and hands-on problem solving, working from the shop floor to executive leadership to improve planning performance.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
Design and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligned with demand, capacity, and material availability
Balance demand, inventory, and capacity while supporting Lean, TAKT-based, and single-piece flow production
Improve schedule adherence, throughput, and inventory levels
ERP / MRP System Ownership
Lead ERP cleanup, restructuring, and optimization after a failed implementation
Own data integrity for BOMs, routings, part master data, lead times, and planning parameters
Serve as the internal MRP subject matter expert and partner with leadership and external consultants on system improvements
Data & Planning Analysis
Build planning tools and analysis using advanced Excel, SQL, and automation
Develop operational reporting for material planning, demand forecasting, production load, and inventory health
Support Power BI dashboards tracking throughput, production performance, and operational metrics
Manufacturing Integration
Work with operators, engineers, and supervisors to ensure system data accurately reflects real production processes
Align planning systems with Lean manufacturing flow and material usage
Cross-Functional Leadership
Drive alignment across operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, and finance
Support operational improvements alongside plant leadership and ERP consultants
Continuous Improvement
Apply Lean and Kaizen principles to improve planning systems, data accuracy, and production scheduling
Drive improvements in schedule attainment, inventory accuracy, and operational throughput
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or related field
8–12+ years in production planning, production control, or master scheduling
Proven experience configuring and managing MRP systems
Experience stabilizing ERP implementations strongly preferred
Background in medical device, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing preferred
Experience in Lean manufacturing environments
Technical Skills
Deep expertise in MRP planning and master scheduling
Strong understanding of BOMs, routings, capacity planning, and manufacturing flow
Advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, automation)
SQL for data analysis
Experience supporting Power BI dashboards
ERP experience required (Fishbowl a plus)
