Position Overview
The Product Support Specialist supports sales strategy execution by maintaining strong relationships with assigned customers, identifying needs, and providing appropriate product solutions. This role also contributes to HMC’s commitment to superior products and services through technical, mechanical, engineering, and maintenance support.
Responsibilities
Support existing accounts and assist with new business development
Process RFQs, prepare quotes, and coordinate order fulfillment
Identify customer needs and provide solution-based recommendations
Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions
Maintain accurate sales activity and opportunity reporting
Assist with gearbox repair, diagnostics, and reverse engineering projects
Support field service activities and inspections
Operate measurement and inspection equipment
Perform vibration analysis and basic mechanical troubleshooting
Follow preventive maintenance and safety procedures
Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude and technical understanding
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to balance sales support with hands-on mechanical tasks
Industrial equipment or gear system experience preferred
